I will be featuring a few Tips to Enhance Your Teaching in 2014 over the next week. Here is tip number 1:
Listen to Ed podcasts in your downtime.
As a teacher it is hard to find time to fit in your own personal or professional learning. However, I bet that there are some parts of your day when you run on autopilot and could fit in listening to an informative educational podcast. Listen to a podcast when on your commute to work, exercising, walking the dog, or watering the garden. Educational podcasts are packed full of fantastic ideas, unique resources, and inspiration.
How do I find podcasts?
EdReach and Bam Radio Network have brilliant podcasts focusing on all areas of education.
Go to their websites to find a podcast that interests you and then subscribe on iTunes in the Podcast App.
My favourite podcasts on EdReach are:
EduAllStars
is an excellent podcast that features an interview with a different inspirational educator each week. I HIGHLY RECCOMMEND FOR ALL EDUCATORS!!!
Techlandia
is a fun and informative podcast for teachers interested in technology.
LIfeHacker
The Ask LifeHacker Show is by far my favourite podcast. It does not have a specific education focus but features life tips, trick and downloads that most teachers will find useful.
